The first major upgrade to Snoost has been launched today, improving the user experience, lower pricing, setup and game streaming quality for all users.

All changes and improvements will be rolled out to users in all regions throughout the day.

Changes

This update brings some significant changes to the cloud gaming service, as well as the pricing, by introducing major improvements to the user experience, allowing users to play games in their browser (Chrome) and making the service much more affordable with a total of 3 plans - each plan representing a certain quality.

New (affordable) pricing plans

Besides the changes that applies to the use of Snoost, the cloud gaming service is becoming even more affordable by providing 2 new plans, so users can now get started for as low as coming soon in your country /mo. Snoost was already the most affordable cloud gaming (in a value-for-money perspective), but is now taking the affordability to a whole new level, as users can now play (after the 3 day trial) for a much lower cost.

The 3 plans now include SD quality for coming soon in your country /mo, HD quality for coming soon in your country /mo and Full HD for coming soon in your country /mo1. Swapping between plans can be done easily in the new Chrome extension. All users who have been using Snoost on a paid plan until this date, will benefit from automatically being reassigned to the new Full HD plan, resulting in cost savings in all countries.

Cloud Gaming improvements

A lot of changes have been implemented in this version, the most notable being the switch from a VPN connection client, to a simple browser based Chrome extension, which now handles the streaming at optimised qualities, while still achieving the same low latency as in previous version.

While most of changes to Snoost relate to the user experience, a number of improvements have also been made to the security, making our systems even more robust and protective over our users' privacy.

Along with the enhanced security, there is also a number of under-the-hood optimisations with the latency and streaming quality overall, as Snoost now automatically detects and optimises your stream resolution, image delivery, bandwidth utilisation etc., to provide the best possible experience for the device your are connecting from, whether it's a laptop, netbook, tablet or desktop computer.

This upgrade also removes the requirement to use Steam's In-Home Streaming, as Snoost now works via a simple Google Chrome extension, allowing for a much more universally compatible experience, as there is no longer any difference in how you install and play your games whether you are using Steam, Uplay, Origin or other game platforms with online libraries.

Other notes

The old Snoost Connect Client has been officially discontinued, as it is no longer needed for your computer to connect to your cloud gaming server, and has been replaced by the browser extension.

We are thrilled to finally have come this far, and are excited for all our users to start using this much improved version of Snoost Cloud Gaming.

Enjoy!
