Possibly the best cRPG ever remastered

Planescape: Torment is a computer role-playing game (cRPG) developed by Black Isle Studios, which was published on 1999. In 2017 the Beamdog company released new, remastered version of the game, which is called now "Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition".

Planescape: Torment is based on the Planescape setting of the D&D and the key feature of the game is the absolute dominating of dialogues and story live over all other gameplay aspects. The game begins in the city of Sigil, when a protagonist, a mysterious, scarred immortal, wakes up in Mortuary without any memories about things followed to this moment. Taking the leadership over The Nameless One, the player tries to deal with the secrets surrounding him and to solve countless moral and ethical dilemmas. Each player will have his/her own playstyle through the game, as there is a wide field of opportunities present in the game. Fight your way with a sword and spells, leaving only blood and destruction behind you, or manage problems in a diplomatic way - you are only the person to choose and all your actions will impact the future of The Nameless One.

The story of the game is unusual and filled with unexpected turns. The main goal of the game is to return the death to The Nameless One, since with each of his "deaths" the mental health of the character is deteriorating more and more - the guilt over past mistakes does not leave him, people recognizing him on the street, blaming the most terrible sins, The Nameless One discovers traces of his own presence, but can not even remember how he achieved all this. Those few who call him their friend express a terrible assumption that one day the Nameless will go mad, and will no longer be able to realize the need to remember anything or become mortal.

Even now, after 18 years of the release of initial version, the game feels "fresh" and saturated. The remastered edition added some graphics and user interface improvements while the gameplay remained untouched, so any player, who belongs to RPG fans, will experience an exciting story and will become a part of it.
