The recommended internet speed varies depending on which of our three plans you are using.

For our SD plan we recommend between 4 and 6 megabits per second (Mbps).

For our HD plan we recommend between 7 and 10 megabits per second (Mbps).

For our Full HD plan we recommend between 12 and 15 megabits per second (Mbps).

These are, however, only general guideline for internet speed, so we strongly encourage you to take advantage of our free trial period in order to determine the capabilities of your internet and see which plan runs Snoost to your satisfaction. During the free trial you can swtich between the three different plans whenever you want in order to see which one best suits your internet and visual preferences.

Of course, not only your own internet speed matters. Since the signal will always have to travel over a distane, your proximity to one of our data centers is also of importance. You can learn more about our data center locations and where Snoost is available here

You may test your download speed at any online HTML5 speed test1, such as Bandwidth Place, or use our integrated speed test which is available to you as a user2 after logging in to your Snoost account.

Please beware that Snoost does stream your video game signal, including your own computer's input and interaction, and therefore will consume a lot of data making it inadvisable to use Snoost if you are on a limited or restricted internet connection.

  1. Speed tests utilising HTML5 generally live up to the latest web standards and reduce most interfering overhead to provide the most accurate results.

  2. Users who sign in to their account have access to an integrated HTML5 speed test, which is located in the top left corner, as part of the Snoost userinterface.
