Audio stutters/pops on Mac
Some users might experience an issue with popping or cracking sound, which is due to a minor bug in recent Steam releases, which defaults the kHz on Mac computers to 44 kHz, where it should be 48 kHz (or at least detect the correct value automatically).
To fix the problem, simply open Audio MIDI Setup on your Mac from
Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup and go to Built-In Output. From here, adjust Format to a setting with 48 kHz instead of 44 kHz.
