Slow convert can be caused by a variety of factors, and is typically related to either how the game is optimised, its settings or if your own computer is having issues with hardware decoding.
To fix the problem you may try one of the following solutions:
- Sometimes games might start with a higher resolution than your display supports. Try lowering the resolution to see if the encoding and decoding executes faster after the change.
- Change the video game's settings to demand less of the CPU or GPU. We recommend looking at either Antialiasing, Vsync or other graphic settings that could have an impact on the performance.
- The game or your own computer might have an issue working through Steam's In-Home Streaming, and the problem might have already been solved on Steam's support forums or troubleshooting (remember to search for your particular game, to find relevant content).
